Most people entering the beauty industry have thought about their choice for longer than they can remember. Many have wanted to be in the industry since they were little girls or boys, chopping off any toy’s hair or a sibling’s hair. Vocational education is questioned by many parents, some believe that a 4 year degree and a traditional college is the way to go, I beg to differ. I went that route, and honestly it took me longer to achieve happiness in my career. Don’t get me wrong, having a background in business has assisted in my journey in the beauty industry.
Study what you love and I promise you will have success and better yet, love what you do! Work is not work to me, it is not a chore it is a passion I love. I love to watch a student progress throughout their education, from a seed to a beautiful blossomed flower. Attention to your craft, passion for what you love to do will lead you to the successes you dream of. Don’t be a dreamer, get out and do it. What are you waiting for? Time is ticking and the longer you wait or drag your feet to find career happiness the longer you will be unhappy with yourself and your career path is so narrow. Open it up with education! Never stop learning and keep an open mind as you grow in your craft and your passion.
